Green Lake
Description
Anchored by a 50,000 year old glacial lake and park, Green Lake is often called the ‘Central Park’ of Seattle. A recreation destination used by an estimated 1 million people per year, runners, in-line skaters, cyclists and walkers love the 2.8 mile paved path that circles the lake. The area includes a wading pool, tennis and basketball courts, fields for soccer and baseball, and a Pitch-and-Putt Golf Course. Adjoining both I-5 and Highway 99, this neighborhood is the height of convenience for commuters. Homes in the area are predominantly single-family residences and townhouses are becoming a popular and more affordable option in the area. Along the north and eastside of the lake, restaurants, bars and coffee houses cater to the neighborhood residents and active visitors alike.
